im upset about this like everyone else. ill give them a chance to fix it with a patch sure its only fair they get to try it. however if it makes no differece and they either dont patch and fix VERY VERY quick its going to be inexcusable tottally and they should at that time have NO REASON WHATSOEVER to not switch over to REAL SERVERS!!!!!!!
i havent bought or played a cod in years and they make a game that is actually good but they have to screw it up with this BS.........i mean come ...
dont forget the wild flailing while jumping off a building and then shooting at random and getting a kill..,,,, i mean that takes a lot of skill

steam was the other option to their(ea, ubi) client. now we have no options so it isnt better its worse.
if you couldnt get into a game this amazing before then im not sure all this new stuff is going to do anything for you. the game at its core is still the same game. I mean all this new stuff is awesome and gets me pumped to experience the whole game again but i just cant imagine it making a huge difference for someone that somehow couldnt get into it before.
This game series has made and will continue to make Billions of dollars for Activision...yet they insult their customers by refuisng to spend even what would be a small portion of all this money on proper servers. this hows they not only dont really care about the quality of their product but they do not care for the customers that make them filthy rich. pathetic

if all this was true then steam wouldnt be a HUGE success and gaben wouldnt be rich as hell.
This DRM is what is causing all the paying customers to have so many crashes. so they delay piracy but casue HUGE problems for honest people that get fed up with the BS and then turn to piracy in the future and even more so when dealing with the same devs that left a sour taste from previous experiences like this.
sure a small portion of people that would i have pirated may buy it instead but when they are hit with these technical problems caused by DRM they are going to be pushed ev...
i dont think you fully understand how steam works. the only games on steam that ever quit working for good are the ones that rely on online play only. it wouldnt matter if you had a physical copy or not in that case. owning a physical disc does nothing but give you the ability to say i have this in my hands. if they want to render it a "rental" as you call it then they can still do so and your disc will be nothing more than a coaster.
can you believe some people are bitching about this. some people on steam are so anal that they complain when an item is added to their library even if its just for a weekend event. they insist they are being spammed and forced,,,,,,, im like wtf is wrong with you. even if you dont want to play it how can an item in a list of items for a temporary time of 24-72 hours even affect you at all.
